RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Returns to Retrolio Games
We maintain a strict policy that items may only be returned for store credit or a replacement item. We reserve the absolute right to reject any returns that do not comply with our policy.
The returns period for store credit is 14 days for consoles and 30 days for games/accessories. This period starts from the date of delivery of your final package. To be eligible for a return for store credit, you must:
- Return the item in the same condition that it was received in
- Have the item shipped with all parts and its original packaging
- Follow all instructions directly and exactly.
For returns under our 90-day standard Warranty, you will only be eligible for troubleshooting, a repair, or replacement item. To qualify:
- Your item must be in the same physical condition that it was received in.
- Have a serious defect (ex. not booting or loading games qualifies, but a minor issue like occasional crashing or issues ejecting games does not).
- Not be experiencing issues due to actions of the user.
We do not accept returns of:
Products whose return/warranty period has lapsed: The clock starts running immediately after the product is purchased.
Any product that has been altered and is not in its original condition.
Any product that has been damaged by you or has missing parts
Any products that were sold as a unit; unless the unit is returned complete
Please note that any product that does not meet the criteria set out above is automatically disqualified for return.
To initiate your return, please go to returns.retroliogames.com within the applicable returns period. You will need your order number (starts with RT), the email address you used to complete the purchase, pictures of the item, and an in-depth explanation of the reason for return.
Shipping Instructions and Costs
Please ship the product to the address we provide to you in our email and according to our instructions. It is imperative not to ship any return items without receiving approval as any products shipped without permission will not be accepted for return. You may not get items shipped before approval returned to you as the ship-from address on our packages is different from where they must be returned.
You are advised to ship your item with a trackable method, and you will be personally responsible for the return shipping costs. We do not reimburse shipping costs under any circumstances.
Extended 1-Year Warranty
An extended warranty is available for purchase at checkout for all items. This Warranty extends the free 90-day Warranty by 275 days to provide coverage for 365 days past the purchase of the product. This period starts on the product purchase date - not the date of receipt of the item. Items returned under this Warranty must (1) be in the same physical condition that it was received in, (2) have a serious defect (ex. not booting games or powering on qualifies but a minor issue like occasional crashing or issues ejecting games does not), and (3) not be experiencing issues due to actions of the user. The same procedures outlined above apply.
Additionally, you may be required to undergo troubleshooting before returning the item to Retrolio Games and must not ship anything until receiving written approval and instructions. Upon receipt and inspection of your item, your item will be repaired and returned to you or replaced with a new item. The purchase of a warranty is not considered to be legally binding or a promise/guarantee, express or implied under the rules of the Federal Trade Commission or any governing body. The terms of the Warranty are subject to change retroactively without notice.
We maintain absolute discretion to make or award exceptions to the no-refund policy upon request. If your application for a refund is deemed sufficient, a 20% restocking fee will be applied and deducted from the refund. If you are approved to return a non-defective/ non-damaged product for a refund, a 30% restocking fee will apply. Once your return is received and processed, a credit will be applied to your original payment within 5-7 business days. Any money paid for expedited shipping or the product warranty is nonrefundable.
All issues related to receiving your refund after issuance has been confirmed should be directed to your financial institution as indicated in your payment details.
Policies appearing on this page are subject to change retroactively, without notice, and are void to the extent to which they conflict with applicable jurisdictional law. Otherwise, these policies should be considered legally binding. We maintain the absolute right to refuse return or refund requests for any reason whatsoever without explanation. We also may refuse to follow these policies at our discretion without any repercussions. Filing a credit card claim or any kind of dispute before contacting us and following our instructions directly conflicts with this policy and justifies your return’s automatic denial.
